The journal of a journey - IPOH

This time i decided to write down in english back. Why? Well follow like heart my (try to translate it in malay). Writing in english may improve my fluency but maybe not very much for my speaking. Well im writing this few days after my long holiday leaving amberan and ban biat to clean the wire. So what to do? Return village HAHA. And now i present you my journal maybe for anyone who might be planning to go to ipoh.

As you can see the journey starts at 11:17 pm after leaving buntai shop to ask for missing screw. As soon as the photo snapped im heading toward petronas in kampung subang to fill the fuel.

Paid rm9 for the fuel and after filling it, i bought some bread and water to fill my empty stomach. My advice is never start a journey with an empty stomach because the hunger will distract you. I also pumped the tires to the desireable value about 38 psi, argh just follow your tyre pressrue indication on the tyre. It differs. Now its time to move.
Now im about to enter the guthrie highway from the bukit subang entry. I stopped for a while to get my gloves ready and plugging earphones so my journey will not to be so boring. If you want to listen to music too while riding, i suggest you look for the plug type earphone. Why? because the sound of the wind passing through your helmet and the engine roaring will be less or disappeared (depends on the brand and the price of course) compared to the conventional earphone where it will make you waste battery hearing noting on your journey. Oh one more thing i forgot to tell you. This journey is purely on the highway. Maybe someday i will write about a journey using the kampung road. After reaching the end of guthrie before entering the plus highway, i decided to take a stop to smoke of course where i encounter to pak cik, one is an indian and the other is malay. I dont know how i got dragged in their conversation and we chatted about motorbike wihout realizing time passing by so i excusing myself from them. The journey from plus highway starts about 12pm. Sorry for no pics because i totally forgot at that time. Well here we go...
Just after passing by slim river i realized that my fuel has dropped to the E level and i have to fill the fuel immediately so i decided to exit at sungkai. As i go near i sungkai there was this unpleasant view for every road user, TRAFFIC JAM. Goddamnit! lucky for me because im using motorcycle. Here is the traffic jam near the sungkai plus exit...Creepy huh? Well good luck for them. Now its time to head to petrol station. After filling up for rm10 for a full tank of course, i decide to get a port to smoke. After looking for a port, i found this satay stall which is not opened yet not far from the petronas. That is why i got a good shot of petronas from this point. Sungkai is a zone in southern perak which still can be considered cowboy town. The specialty of sungkai that i know is they have this camel bird soup (i mean ostrich) sold over here. My family often stops there during a trip through sungkai. The stall is also not far from the petronas and is opposite my smoking port. Here is the picture...See? Just behind the superbike is the ostrich soup restaurant. About the price i dont really remember. Maybe RM12 plus minus, ah just go see for yourself. Here is another view of sungkai town..Now its time to set my foot. This time its straight to ipoh.A picture just before i leave sungkai. Dont be fooled by the fuel meter. The time shown is 1.12pm. The fuel meter shows E because im not starting the motorcycle yet. Gloves on, musics on, helmet on, engine on, PREEEEENNGGGG!!
Finally, home sweet home. I reached home at 2.17pm. As soon as i reached home i smelled something. Yes, its moms cooking. After eating i was shocked by one news. My parents were about to go to gerik. Argh looks like my journey is not finished yet, but the trip to ipoh is settled. Who knows maybe i will have another motorcycle trip to post next time. So just wait till next time. Just leave your comment if youre not satisfied heart.

This time its about love

Kali ni aku nak berblog dalam bahasa nelayu pulak. Sebab apa?

First sekali, cuba kita tanya diri kita apa itu cinta? Malah ada yang jatuh cinta kerana 'its just happened to be'.

Aik? Kalau dah sampai tahap macam ni aku dah tak dapek nak menolong.

Nampaknya aku dah kering idea nak tulih apa (time keja banyak idea mencurah2 tapi bila mengadap komputer tinggal sikit je).

Music people

I have recently read a blog of a friend, giving his opinion on music. Yes i agree with him on saying that everyone taste of music is different. My opinion on what type of music is the best is there is no best genre. A music that fits in ears of yours is the best. Sometimes you listen to a slow song that relaxes your mind and you say it is the best. Next you listen for a rock music that raises your spirits and you also said 'wow this music is the best'. And this cycles keeps repeating until you categorized which type of song has so many great music and you will automatically say that genre is the best.

Enough about the opinion on your kind of music. Today i want to share about my music life. Before the very existence of digital format of music, people listen to music on cassette player. For kids on my age at that time, we are greatly influenced by what type of music our parents heard. And the remaining songs we listen it on the radio. For grown ups at that time, going to club is the easiest way to enjoy music. I think almost all kids about my age at the nineties, grow up with the pop and rock 'kapak' songs. Just like every people at that time i just take whatever good songs played whether on radio or on the tv and sings along with it. At that time i just never care who sang the song and even the title. So we go to school everyday until we are in the standard four where we encounter of first instrument music playing, the recorder. For your information, i take my music class seriously at that time. I even thought about the recorder's name at that time, why is it called recorder but it didnt records. Well its no use to think a lot at that time, so i just kept the question buried. In every music classes i learn everything new each day. At that time, i can even wrote song notes (which i remembered a little nowadays). At standard 6, i can even compose my own song by just only using recorder. I have also found so many songs and played it using the recorder but the recorder have limited tones. So i cant successfully played each.

Time goes by, and i was in secondary school. Living in a hostel life, make you want to keep yourself entertained. Since walkman or small radio was the only items legal at the hostel, i brought my palito mini radio bought for 10 ringgit at some street market. At that time, i already remebered some of good songs but the song i listened at that time was english (well u know, the backstreet boys, n sync, britney, j lo and so many other pop artistes at that age). I also listened to some of nasyids (this one influenced from my islamic school brothers and the popularity of raihan). Until at some age when first brought my first second-hand walkman from a friend, i started to listen back to malay songs and started to reconcile with some familiar old song in my kids age. At that time in kept some money to buy alleycats original cassettes for RM15. My favourite at that time was the alleycats and sudirman. As older i get, i started to listen to rock kapak which i still listened to this day. It was also at this time was my first encounter with the special music instrument, guitar. My first lesson begin when i follow one of my classmate to skip class and went straight to the dorm. When he played his guitar i was amazed and straightly asked him to teach me. Well, he did teach me but.. well maybe i will post another article about guitar. For now i continue my story. So when in the matriculation college, at that time digital music format was widely used while cassettes was slowly forgotten. So using the matriculation money, i managed to get myself an mp3 player at 256mb size for RM200++. Still can be considered cheap at that time. So this starts my journey to collect some old rock kapak songs. Also at this time, my new friends in matriculation was all kaki karaoke. So when we go outing, k-box was our destination. Envying my friends for having very good voices, i trained myself to sing at high pitch in my favourite place, the bathroom. Later in matriculation, i also started to hear various other songs like the guns and roses. Hearing the november rain's solos makes me started to get more interested in songs which have very good guitar playing. This is when one of my friends introduced me to Luca Turilli, an italian guitarist and composer.

After a long while after leaving matriculation, i started to look for luca turilli's song and that is when i found out that this guy is very awesome. All of his song have the medieval age theme and the genre can be considered symphony metal for the orchestra-like song. Amazed by turilli's guitar playing, i started to look for some other metal band like iron maiden which is also good. As for my cousin's recommendation, i also started to hear yngwie malmsteen, the godspeed guitarist that play songs majoritily from neo-classical genre. Neo-classical is songs that feels like a classical song but played at high speed using electrical guitar. Maybe that is why it is called neo-classical. I also happened to hear a song from the band stratovarius and started to look deeper into the band. Wow, that was my first word after hearing some songs from stratovarius. They have the same feeling with turilli's style but different. The genre is progressive metal. Timo Tolkki, the guitarist from stratovarius and also the composer was listed as one of the greatest guitar player.

As conclusion, my journey of music will never stop. I will also try to look for more new and old songs which makes your heart beat or keeps your head banging or relaxed songs. I dont know. As long as the song was good to me that is enough. I have also encountered some old rock kapak song that was still new to me. The journey of music of course will never stop. As for now im trying to look for buckethead songs which is still in exploration. So keep on rocking the free world.

Life is on the road

Writing in blog is not easy when you have one compared to when you dont have a blog. Before, there was so many ideas flowing through my head about what i want to write but when sitting in front of my blog, everything goes away. So i decide to write something as soon as the idea coming without wasting any time. Yesterday i went to the summit in USJ about 6 pm. After that i got lost when i was about to go to the LDP highway so after going round and around and not to forget the signboard, i managed to get into the LDP highway. All along the LDP highway until i reach TTDI and still got lost figuring the way to the TTDI community centre (but still managed to get there). Soon after finished playing badminton, its time to head to the stuff's party so its my way to sunway pyramid taking the long road all the way through LDP (following the guidance of my friend LAIKOK of course). After sunway pyramid its time to go home so i repeat the cycle on the road all over again. Actually this reminds me of my life in the road. Every person's road life starts out as a passenger of course. So when we are still young, we just simply follow wherever our parents take us to and until you goes to a hostel school very very far away from your home, this is where your journey begins. Your primary vehicle at this time must be the public bus or a commuter (for urban people livin in the city) or taxi (for the rich) or some even the airplanes (for the extra rich or aviation family). So im the bus passenger. At the current time my house was in penang so the distance between the butterworth, penang and alor setar, kedah is not that great but im still enjoying the fun 2 hours jolly ride. The adventure seems to be tougher since my family moave a little south into kampar which make the distance fairer about 200km++. This is where i starts to experience the overnight trip. Every people in this world who is making the bus their primary vehicle will experience the similar problems. Bus late arrival, until you have to wait for hours in the crowded places where you will see all kind of people in the same place. The bus damaged while traveling which make you sit at the roadside watching cars passing by until the replacement bus arrived. The condition of the bus which sometimes have no air conditioner, extra vibration that we dont really need, the slow mo view in the windows while the bus tries its best climbing up the hill. I have endured all these problems until i got my L license for the motorcycle. At that time, i was in subang, selangor and my family was alreday moved to slim river, perak. i still remember my last trip with bus to tanjung malim (which is near to slim river) ends up in a low class hotel in tanjung malim since my phones cannot reach all my relatives and the local bus services is already finished (its about 12.30 am at that time). This experience make me swear that i will never take an express bus anymore unless emergency. My first motorcycle is the honda c70 (see the top image). The first speed of the motorcycle is about 50km/h so me and my brother do a little modification until the speed reaches 70km/h. So i started using motorcycle to work and to slim river. Using this motorcycle is very damn tiring because of the sudden broke down always occured. I evn have pushed this motorcycle about 4km on the highway until i reach the rnr station to do a little repair. After many repairs plus mod, the motorcycle was in his top condition and can reach to 100km/h without causing much trouble. And that is the time my family moved away to ipoh makin the distance 200km++ back. At the first few month, i just used the motorcycle until i cannot stand the three hours vibration on the road so i am asking for my mother a new bike.Since my older brother just finished his studying at that time, i have to use his motorcycle first, the honda wave100 which is very similar to my friend, Wak Cedey motorcycle. The colour, the box which happens to be the same. My brother got a job in KL so now its time for my new bike. With the price of RM4080.00 (my mommah plus some of my savings) the modenas kriss120 was bought (see profile picture) and is the motorcycle that i am still using today. Using this bike make me realize the big difference of the performance on both motorcycles that i have used and still using it till this day. All the time i used the motorcycle, i involved with a couple times of small accidents and 1 big accident with my new bike (sob). The big accident gives me 17 stitches to all my limbs make me walk funky for weeks. Right now im currently working on my driving license which may give me a new experience of driving. Im sure everyone have their own life on the road. And maybe more interesting. Last word is 'drive safe, think of yourself'.

Are You Talented??

Hell, this topic seems like an advertisement about looking for someone talented and asking them to join in a competition, but that is not my intention. Right now i want to give my own opinion on talent. First of all, do talent really exist? If it does how do you judge if someone is talented or not? Is it when someone is just seemingly too skillful in something? Hell no. That person may seem pro but do you how many hours did he practice to reach to that level. For me maybe talent is when someone doing something on the first time and he his skill advanced over some other beginners for example, ahmad and abu starts playing guitar together under the same teacher and both of them have never been played a guitar before. So they start their first basic lesson which is the chords and the strumming. Ahmad can make the guitar sounded after 2 hours while abu still have finger problem around the chords and after 1 week ahmad can play a song while abu just got his first chord sounded. Is ahmad more talented? I bet many people will say yes he is but try to look into other factors which are determination and interest. These 2 things are never same for every people because those are subjective. You can never measure the interests of a person who are deeply motivated in a subject. You also may never know the effort someone puts when doing something. It is all in their mind so which one have the higher determination and interests of course will advance faster. For me all these talent things can be replaced by practice and repetition. For example, you are now currently playing a video game. What game it is? you decide. You are right now on a mission that is quite hard. BANG!! you died. Game Over. So what did you do? 97% of you will load again and retry the mission. And the one who is not giving up will succeed and advanced to the next level. My point here is when you find something in your interest and find it hard, my suggestion is keep trying, trying, trying, and trying. Anybody can succeed it just takes time whether a week, a month, a year or more than that. The one who stops in the middle way is someone we can call looser and use 'this is not my thing' as the reason. So that is what i want to say, and my friends dont forget that this is just my opinion. You can give comment if there is something wrong.

This is my blog JOATwannabe

Finally i managed to have my very own blog. Well blogging is almost like a trend now. It have become so famous that there a a bunch of bloggers around my friends too. Actually im pretty interested in their way of expressing their opinion so i would also like other people to read my opinion too. So this is my blog for me to express my opinion about stuffs that going through my head. Alright first of all, thanks to my friend who have been encouraging me to do this blog Mr Akram. I wonder how many of you are actually know what does JOAT means? It is just the first initial letter of the word 'jack of all trade'. Well im not saying that im perfectly good at anything so that is why im adding the word 'wannabe' after it. Oh well to tell you something, im actually have tried and pretty average at some skills like drawing, skateboarding, guitar playing, fishing and rearing fishes, snooker and many more. And im also looking forward of doing something new and there is a lot of my experiences that i will discuss later, so thats it for now...
