The Social Network

Wazzup yoll.. Haha, i know its been an extremely long time since i update my blog which is more than 1 year. So what is keeping me from updating this blog and why all of a sudden? Well the answer is a little bit different from the last post which is L.A.Z.Y. Haha it is different right since this time it was in english. But why? Well the answer is also almost the same as previous post which is after i saw one of my friends blog. But since i dedicated my blog into expressing my experience involving something that i have done, i am not going to write about my feelings, badmouthing someone or what am i doing recently that is not relevant to this blog's purpose, im going to write about something else..

Well, one of the true reason im not updating my blog beside being buzy and lazy, i was in the current hype of the latest social network that evolve and revolve the social network system making it most addictive and visited site on the internet which is facebook. True, only the idea of geniuses that made socializing on the internet very effective. Why updating status on blog when u can immediately get responses from hundreds or thousands of your friends on facebook. Some people even wrote one sentence on hjs/her facebook and got heavily responded while writing thousands of words on blog was rarely responded. Enough with facebook. This is blogspot and you can write whatever you want in whatever lengths.

The facebook reminds me of how the evolution of socializing on the internet have evolved around the years. Well since my involvement in the internet started at a very young age i got tons to write about my involvement. The purpose of network socializing is to keep in touch, find a new friend and treatment for lonely person. i still remember creating my very first email in the year 1999. Since i was a snotty brat at that time, i regularly change my email as i tend to forget my password. But the email was of no use since that time the usage of email was not as broad as nowadays. Not long after that year (maybe in the same year) there was this software that became the trend at that time. The Internet Relay Chat. This software can make u communicate with people from around the world in real time. You can chat with anyone u want, even with a total stranger. Even at that time, when i get bored (lonely) i go online and have a chat with someone i dont even know sharing my problems. The term blind date also starts at that time when someone who has been 'friends' on the net suddenly wants to meet in real life. You got the idea.

The IRC stands strong and survive for a very long time but became boring eventually. That is when yahoo create another alternative by inventing yahoo messenger. The YM have lots of features that was not included in the IRC and gets better over the time. 5 years of involvement in IRC with no one to really remember but wihtin 1 year with YM i have got lots of friends with some of them lasts till date. It was also during that time when digital technologies become more developed with handphone becomes cheaper and music is on the mp3 and picture is on jpg. So the cyber cafe keeper introduced me to friendster with her becoming my very first friend on friendster. It was also with friendster she met with her soulmate. The features of friendster at that that time was to let you post your picture and add friends to keep in touch with them. You can also add someone you dont even know and view their profiles and pictures to extend your network (flirt).

But even with friendster and with increasing friends as nothing really interests me on the friendster so i stick with YM greeting my friends from there. But one day when some relatives coming over to my house, there was this kid age about 10 to 11 watching me go online browsing to nothing. He begged me to let him use the computer to check his myspace. As tears about to fall from the boy's eyes i let him. Well i wouldnt say that he actually wants to check his myspace but he actually wants to show off his myspace to me. Showing all the hot chicks she added and showed me all his power sentences. With eyes wide open i say nothing really interesting while deep in my heart i say 'wow, what a player this boy is' (what a loser i am). While still pretending not interested, just after the boy left i create my own myspace account. Myspace was kind of interesting as they let u customize your profile page to your own creativity, lets u know who is online to let you interact with them in more interesting ways and some features not included in friendster.

It was also about this time i create my facebook account. But i just create it as some of my friends persuaded me to create it. At that time fb is just the same to me like any other social network website so nothing really interests me so i keep on going with myspace (but myspace already became a little boring at that time). One day when i was at my brother's house i saw him doing some personality quizzes on fb. As these quizzes seemed really interesting i regularly open my fb just to play them. Then i slowly found out that fb is far more interesting than others so keep on line on fb regularly. With fb keeps imroving over the time the other social site was slowly forgotten. With the new chat features on fb, i even slowly stopped YM.

So right now fb have become one of the most visited pages on the internet making the creator a billionaire at a very young age. Even i also keep my fb online almost everyday. Months ago, someone post 'fb is getting boring'. I think for a while and replies to her 'well fb was not supposed to be fun. it was for you to keep in touch with your friends. letting them know your current status and interact with them anywhere anytime'. So basically all other social site is about the same but which one is more interesting is the winner. So until my next posts which is 'i dont know when'...
